Gen 14 (Colonial america)

*Note: This is meant to be historically accurate. Women just did not have a great time back then*

 Dove Hawthorne
Born in 1612, Dove quickly learned that her existence was unwanted and that her father despised her. During the first seven years of her life, she endured daily reminders of her supposed uselessness and worthlessness. In modern times, such treatment would likely lead to mental health issues and depression. Fortunately for her,  Dove lived in the 1610s and didn’t have the chance to grow up; she passed away in 1621 during her family’s first year in colonial America.

Cattle Hawthorne
Born in 1614, Cattle faced a fate similar to her sister’s, passing away in 1621 during the family’s first difficult year in America.

Baudry Hawthorne (Heir)
Born in 1615, Baudry was the first son and the new heir to the family. Unlike his predecessors, he didn’t spend his life working on the family farm. Instead, he built a new life in America. With his sisters passing away at a young age, Baudry was soon left with only his parents.

In 1639, Baudry adopted 13-year-old Quenilda Wray, a distant relative. That same year, he married her, and in 1640, their first children were born. For some ungodly reason, Baudry and Quenilda had three sets of twins, luckily not all their children survived (else someone would've gone mental having to make sure certain parents take care of their 6 toddler) .

Baudry worked hard to ensure his son received an education, setting the family up for a brighter future. He passed away in 1661, just three years after his father’s death.

Ambrose Hawthorne
Born in 1646, Ambrose was the last child of Baudry and Quenilda, his birth marking his mother’s death during childbirth. He was raised alongside his brothers’ children due to his father’s struggles with alcoholism.

In 1666, Ambrose left to sail the seven seas as part of a pirate crew after sexually assaulting a woman. This marked the beginning of a life of crime. No further records of Ambrose exist, and he was never heard from again.

Lawrence Hawthorne
In 1582, just two years after his parents' wedding, Lawrence was born as the first child and son of Cadred and Cicily Hawthorne. He was one of the few children who survived childhood.
In 1612, he married Riklid Freeney after accidentally impregnating her. Their first child was born that same year. Despite being raised in a more gender-equal environment, Lawrence turned out misogynistic and hateful towards women, a bitterness fueled by Riklid, whom he resented for forcing him into fatherhood.
He hated his wife and did not love her at all. His animosity toward her was reflected in the way he treated their daughters. Lawrence made his whole family leave behind the family farm and sail off to america. He was quite happy about that desicion, since his daughters did not survive their first year in america. In 1644 Lawrence was hit by lightning but surived. He drank himself to death in 1658.

Born in 1584 as the third son, Wulfhelm also passed away young, dying at the age of 9 in 1603.

Beorthric Hawthorne
Born in 1582, Beorthric lived a brief life of only two years, passing away in 1588.

Petrus Hawthorne
Born in 1587, Petrus kept a lower profile within the family. After his other siblings passed at young ages, Petrus realized the importance of starting a family before it was too late. That same year, he married Cecilia Bastwock. Together, they had seven children: Afleag, Cynefrith, Hillda, Letitia, Godlefe, Giles, and Aedilfrid. He lived a long life, passing away in 1645.

Gen 12

Cadred Hawthorne (Heir)
Born in 1551, Cadred was his father’s blessing. For the first five years of his life, he was an only child and enjoyed his father’s full attention, learning from a young age how to care for the farm. By the age of 10, he could already run the farm independently.

As his mother gave birth to more children, he was, like his father, manipulated into resenting them and saw them as nothing but a drain on resources. However, since he learned this misogyny at a later age, he was kinder to his future daughters.

In 1580, he married Cicily Bridgwater, who gave birth to his first son in 1582. Three more sons and two daughters followed. Most of his sons did not survive past their 20s.

Cadred made all his children work on the farm, disregarding traditional gender roles. Even his daughters did hard labor, while also helping with household chores.
In his later years, he helped raise his grandchildren, ensuring they learned vital farming skills that would secure the family’s future. He passed away in 1619 at the age of 68.

Imaigne Hawthorne
Born in 1556, Imaigne grew up knowing from day one that she was unwanted. She never married and remained with her brother, helping to raise his children. She managed the household and assisted with farm work. Despite her brother viewing her as worthless, much like their father had, she shared a close bond with him.

Gricia, Edytha, and Laguia Hawthorne
Born in 1557, the triplets inexplicably survived birth, much to their father’s displeasure. Some would say they dive were in their favour.

Edytha did not live long, as she was run over by a horse in 1567. Some rumors suggest it was her own father riding the horse. Her body was abandoned and left to decompose in the wilderness.

(I am not kidding, I could not reach the grave stone)

Laguia married Constantinus Banister in 1577 but struggled with infertility, likely inherited from her mother, who had also faced difficulties conceiving. Laguia passed away in 1610 at the age of 53.

Gricia married Brihtricus Blackar in 1579 and had five children (Wulfwin, Ivette, Salamo, Mactilda, and Idone), of whom only two survived to adulthood.

Aelina Hawthorne
Born in 1559 as Joseph’s youngest daughter, Aelina was tragically unlucky. She died in 1563 from the Black Plague. Her father, fearing she might infect her brother, threw her out of the house the moment she showed symptoms, leaving her to die without care or dignity.

Gen 11

*Note: This is meant to be historically accurate. Women just did not have a great time back then.*

Julia Hawthorne:
Born and died on the same day, as she was stillborn in 1520, the first daughter of Peter and Anabella Hawthorne.

Ealfware Hawthorne:
Born in 1522, Ealfware was the second daughter of this generation. She was despised by her father for being born female. Her life was short and ended in 1527 at the age of five, as her father prioritized her brother over her when it came to food. Her father blamed her for the death of her younger brother, claiming she stole a piece of bread out of hunger.

Emony Hawthorne:
Born in 1523, Emony lived only a few weeks before passing away. After Emony’s death, their father blamed Ealfware for wasting resources she supposedly didn’t deserve.

Joseph Hawthorne (Heir):
Joseph was the heir of this generation, born in 1524 as the elder twin. He was the only wanted child in the family and spent his childhood favored by his parents. He learned misogyny early from his father, continuing the family cycle of abuse. In 1550, he married Imeyna Birchard. A year later, he witnessed his father’s death from the sweating disease. Shortly afterward, his first son was born, marking the happiest moment of his life.

However, from that birth onward, his wife struggled to conceive for five years. In 1556, to Joseph’s disappointment, she gave birth to a daughter. His disappointment grew when female triplets followed in 1557. He never hid his disdain for his daughters and refused to provide for them. He passed away in 1570 at the age of 50, outliving three of his daughters.

Dorothy Hawthorne:
Born in 1524, Dorothy was the unwanted twin who came into the world alongside Joseph. Her childhood was spent cleaning and cooking, always stepping aside so her brother could eat first. Her father showed no care for her and married her off in 1549 to Odric Blackmon.
With Odric, she had six children (Baldwin, Margery, Giffard, Avelina, Gonilda, and Walding), but three were stillborn or died as infants. Only her eldest son reached adulthood.
She passed away in 1558 at the age of 33.

Gen 10

(Please Note, this is just written this way to be more accurate of the views they had on women in the past.)

Gode Hawthorne
Gode was born in 1490 as the first child and daughter of Wallo and Nota Hawthorne. Her grandfather despised her for being born female, and after years of cleaning and serving her family, she was married off to Walter Grey in 1506. Walter passed away that same year, leaving Gode pregnant. The following year, both she and her baby died during childbirth.

Amicia Hawthorne
The second daughter, Amicia, had only a short life. Born in 1491, she lived just long enough to feel her grandfather's resentment, passing away at only five years old in 1496.

Apsey Hawthorne
Born in 1494, Apsey grew up to suffer sexual exploitation by her brother during his early puberty. She died in 1517 from the sweating sickness.

Peter Hawthorne (Heir)
Peter's birth in 1496 brought his parents joy, as he was their first son after years of having daughters. He watched many family members, including his own parents, succumb to the sweating sickness. Idolizing his grandfather, Peter adopted his misogynistic beliefs. In his early teens, he used his youngest sister for his own pleasure, ending this behaviour only when he married Anabella Acker in 1517.

Together, they had three daughters, all of whom he despised until a son, his heir, was born. He felt no remorse for his daughters' short lives, calling it God’s blessing that he did not have to support them until they were old enough to marry and bear children. He married off his youngest daughter and then arranged a marriage for his son.

Peter did not live to see any grandchildren, passing away in 1551 due to the sweating sickness.
